Sunday, April 8 PM walk:
I knew that I wanted to take Che on a longer than usual walk, but I really had no idea where we would head. After spending much of the day watching DeNiro and Pesci in Raging Bull, my mind was more on boxing that Brooklyn.
Chester got his feet wet, literally, at Prospect Park's dog beach. He really wanted to take a full on dip, but given the length of the leash, if he were going for a swim, so was I. We'll be back with a longer lead on a warmer day. Che met another Rottie with a sweet disposition, and then Annabelle, a great dane, who stood a whole 8 inches taller than Chester. Off we went, leaving the park and crossing the Prospect Expressway- the obligatory point of no return. We ran smack into Green-wood cemetery and spent much of our time looking for the famous Brooklyn Parrots-- no such luck on Easter-- they were, no doubt eating ham and deviled eggs. We finally made it home, 3 hours later, and having logged 6 miles. Chester promptly slept for the rest of the night...
